... any recommendations? The rubber is basically perished on mine now, looking a little scruffy... just boggo super grip ones like this only scruffier lol:

... made a mistake when ordering a new set with Gold ends, got them today and they don't match the brake/clutch lever I've bought below gold so... now they're on eBay.

However, need some bar grips, good quality ones... will contemplate Gold again if It can match these gold (very yellow gold) levers I've bought.. however, now I'm thinking just go straight forward quality grips with the silver bar ends I already have or black bar ends.

So, what can people recommend or should I just get another set of these ones above and then get bar light golden bar ends. The choice, the choice lol

I use pro grips- would recommend. Had renthals (med compound) before which were good too but prefer the progrips

I bought those grips and those levers. The cheap Chinese levers are actually good and look 1000x better than the stock ones my bike had.

Those levers/bar end weights are awful!
Hahaha, everyone to their own I suppose, I'm not convinced on the bar ends, have to admit, think it might be too much and I'll end up going Carbon which will go with my new wing mirrors and ram intakes (or possibly just keep my original silver anodised ones)... however I love the gold levers, really look nice in the flesh... and go with the front end of the bike... Each to their own I suppose :-)

I ride all year round and have fitted heated grips to every bike I've had, even the GSX-R750 :p

I find them useful outside of winter too, for cool evening rides if I'm in my summer gloves etc.

Last winter I rode in -4C with these grips and the HG lobster style gloves and never had an issue with cold hands :)

I guess it depends how you plan to use the bike when it comes to heated grips. If you think you'll only be out in pleasant mild weather they probably aren't worth the bother :)

I found it is less of a problem on sports bike though, with the bars being low and tucked. On my Speedy the bars are up in the air and right in the wind. Hands feel the chill much quicker.

Man now your confusing the issue but you do have a good point man... **** lol. too many options lol...

How cold do hands get in the winter though, do these really make a difference?

I never knew I needed heated grips until I bought a bike with them already fitted. They're superb, it'll be the first thing I change on any new bike from now on.

As for how cold in winter, incredibly, to a point where operating the throttle/brakes/clutch effectively gets quite difficult. The pain when your hands thaw isn't funny either.

Once the temperature drops below 10-12 °C I have them on low, it's lovely :D

You could go for some Gel grips as you did mention some hand/wrist pain.

Yeah not sure if it's the angle I'm at, holding on too tight over prolonged use, not sure really maybe suddenly going and doing such mileage in 14 days, just strengthening up all different muscles suppose... tough one to call really. What I'll do is get out over weekend and over the next 2 week, just see how neck and wrists/hands are, see if they get used to the punishment.

Well for me the main thing was posture & getting your weight off your wrists/hands. Gripping the tank with your knees is the key but Yes your right it uses muscles you don't usually use so there's a pain barrier we have to go through.
Me I'm umming & aarrring over my bike & watching the NW200 & now the TT preview shows I just want to go out & get my knee down.
Do I take the battering & just get used to it.

At the moment my mind says No to getting rid of the bike & just tuffing it out.

Well, get this, I've been sat there looking and thinking about future mods etc, so, I've decided to sell the gold levers (just sold them for more than I paid as well, result) and I've ordered exactly the same short levers in Silver with RED adjuster... as I've got a couple of red bits on the bike, this then allows me to keep my original bar ends or go, silver, carbon...

I think I'm going to go "progrips" with the yellow gels etc... for now, don't need heated grips, it'd be a waste for the summer, and for now £15 nicker is fine with me.
