Need a new shower!

OK so the shower is dead and needs replacing.

Don't know a lot about showers but have been told that our existing electrics can only support a 7.5kw shower.

Any body have any reccomendations? The cheaper the better.

i would really look into getting your wiring sorted out so u can have a decent shower rather than the low power stuff that dribbles the water out. Mite be ok for some people but once u have a real power shower, theres no goin back!

I think your best bet id to pop into B&Q or homebase and have a look. They have some decent stuff in and it's well priced too

from what iv been told mira do the best showers (not sure bout price) but it was the sport max (or sumthing like that) i was recomended.

Power showers are fantastic

But obviously they draw hot water from your tank, as opposed to heating it themselves...

What was your old shower? Electric, tank-fed, combi-fed, pumped-tank-fed?

Lots of different flavours and what you can fit will depend on how your house is wired and plumbed.

The old one was electric. A power shower has been ruled out and apparently our electrics can only support a 7.5kw shower. Thinking of maybe a mira or triton.

Any good electrician will be able to upgrade the shower circuit for you, but it may be worth looking at pumped CH fed showers instead, better flow rate and stuff, but you do need to have a tank of hot water ready (not sure how it works on combi boilers... I'm much better at electrics than plumbing

EDIT: read the read properly, oh... you cant have a pumped one... best get that sparkie phoned then...
