Need A Overclocking Tutorial/Settings

Hi,

I have the following:-

Intel i5-650 3.2 GHZ
Asus P7H55-M
4GB DDR4 RAM
Artic freeze extreme heatsink + fan
2 mini chassis fans

I am currently getting a temp of about 50oc.

Can my pc go faster?

why has no one helped I am really disappoited and thinking about leaving this forum. I cant find anything on Google about overclocking my processor.

sometimes posts come in that fast that threads such as yours go to the bottom of the list very quickly and get missed, best thing to do is give it 24 hours then repost a *bump* so it returns back to the top of the list.

please dont give up , its not unusual for this to happen sometimes, eventually your questions will be answered by someone who knows what they are talking about.

...have you looked through the o/c tutorials on the forums first, it will help to give you an insight as to what you may be asked when you do get some help.

Idle or load temps? Use prime95 or intel burn test for a few minutes to warm things up.

Not many will be able to help with that processor as it's a bit of an odd-ball one which not many own. However, if you look for general guides on i3/i5/i7 overclocking the theory is the same.

In short, you slowly increase the base clock/BLK (not sure what your BIOS will call this) in small increments until your pc becomes unstable (tested with prime95 or intel burn test). Then you increase core voltage a touch and repeat. Once you've increased the BLK so far you may need to alter the memory divider to keep it running at it's rated speed.

Nobody can give you settings as all CPUs and motherboards are different. I'm also not sure what the max safe voltages/temps are for that CPU, though a quick google should find these for you fairly easily.
