Need a point and shoot camera

Can anyone help me choose a good point and shoot / compact camera? i have larger digi cams but i need something that will fit nicely into my pocket of the missus hand bag. I have been looking upto the £400 mark and the sony RX100 ii was a contender.

I dont class myself as an enthusiast so i don't want something too fiddly to get decent shots.

Any ideas ?

The Rx100 is definitely a great pocket camera i have the Mk1 and its takes some fantastic photos.

What else do you want from a camera, the RX100 has its limitations, short focal range, a bit slow at the long end.

Well its for the holidays, days / nights out and for the "QUICK, the kids are being funny" moments, ideally would like a fast camera and a zoom would be a huge bonus
