need a power supply

My brothers new graphics card needs 2 6 pin pci express plugs on the power supply. I've seen this one, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-200-CM&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

But it says 2 8 pin. He needs around 600watt. And doesn't really wanna spend more than what the supply above costs. Help?

What sort of card is it and are you sure you need 600 Watt? I would look at the likes of this personally. Not that there's anything wrong with the Coolermaster but the Antec would be my choice.

The 8 pins will probably be 6+2 much like the 20+4 ATX 12v connector. May be best to phone through before ordering though

According to the Cooler Master website it's got 6+2 PCI-E connections so you should be fine.

Avoid the Coolermaster GX series as they are very poor psu's.

I tend to go corsair though I would probably pick this one its a bit more expensive but I would rather the peace of mind quality.

I'm not convinced that the Corsair 650TXV2 is worth £80. I knew Corsair would increase the price.

If £60 is the limit then I would think this would be the best option:

you sure he needs 600W?

i have no idea what his computer has, but for my build i checked what power supply i would need using this site, and went a resonable amount over the recommendation.

eg, for my build, it reccommended 446W for my worst case scenario, so i went with the BeQuiet 530W PSU, in case i wanted to add something later

(my worst case scenario was entire computer on 100% load, the fans being high performance, the CPU overclocked, etc)

as with all my posts i will say to wait for someone else to give the green light on this PSU calculator, because im a total noob when it comes to building stuff (will be doing my first build this weekend)
