what power supply do you recommend me getting . it needs to be 850w or higher but not to expensive (also modular )

I had the xfx 750w black edition, it had a really bad ticking fan. Lots with similar issues if you google it so don't reccomend it.

HAve you seen the hard wired cables on the XFX? its not exactly crowded.

I should hope so at that price, but the OP stated "not to expensive"
Plus it's only 90% eff, the xfx is 88%, so it's not worth paying THAT much more

That 660w can run as high as a cheaper 850w.

Bit if you want the best, get a Seasonic X-850 if you must.

You make it sound like the XFX is a "cheaper" PSU.

The XFX can run at nearly 1K Watt looking at the tests.

Well I just had a look at prices of the X-660 and it averages about the same as the XFX, so its not "cheaper"

You mean the X-860, X-850 is the old version.

The AX850 is based on the X-860.

If you were gonna put them in order of performance X-860, AX850, X850, but for the user all 3 are practically the same in performance as they are so similar. With component variance you could get a X850 sample that is better than a X-860 sample they are that close.
