I currently have a Canon MP160 but the ink is costing me £25 for black and £25 for colour.

It's just ran out but I just want a cheap and friendly printer. I will use it for printing images but they don't have to be great quality. I was wondering if I should just buy a laser printer as it will be cheaper in the long run and I don't need a colour one at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Continuous Ink System for you Cannon (CISS)

Have you looked for a Continuous Ink System for you Canon (CISS) I am not sure if one is made for your printer. I have a cheap Epson R285 it prints VERY good photos + prints on CD'S and I use a CISS system on it, worth a look?

OH and if you go down the Epson route and the CISS remember to fit an external waste ink tank (goggle it)

Could you tell me which CISS system you bought and, if possible, from where...? Does it use a genuine Epson cartridge on top of the ones within the printer..?

I have just bought a Epson r285 and I'm a little wary of the reliability of the CISS systems and was just thinking about buying refillable cartridges instead.
