My friend is a total noob when it come to computers and I have been trying to explain to him that he needs a good psu to run a 780gtx preferably Corsair. He has the one in the picture at the moment but I do not feel that it is good enough for the job; could you guys/gals put some links up for ones that he can just go to, to buy. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a disaster waiting to happen, let's hope it's not too late..

First of all what are your friend's full PC specs and I sure as well hope he isn't overclocking using that PSU..

Also any specific budget? I'd be looking to spend £60 at least

As soon as the gpu get's loaded it won't work. Doubtful that a piece of junk like that would work anyway. My pc pulls up to 422w when gaming but I have seen a max of 452w. Either of Lee32uk's suggestions would be a good buy for a single GTX780 although I would prefer a 650w unit myself.

Yeah if it don't pop while loading windows (assuming it runs at all, it potentially won't even start-up properly from the mobo) it definitely will when he runs any gaming/gpu related task.

As suggested you want to be running a PSU that can deliver at least 450 W +12 V & a reasonable brand.
