Need a quiet BUT cheap PSU

I have a spare PC in another room, only use it now and then. Old Skool, AGP, socket A 1.4 amd etc. The PSU in it must be the loudest known to man. I just want a cheap but quiet PSU for it for when i do use it, which isn't that often.

Any reccomendations please ?

There is no such thing as a good cheap PSU. But the ones I have chosen are cheaper for lower power systems like your own.

could get the hiper 525w psu which cost around 47 inc vat.

X-Pro make very good capable and quiet PSUs, the 400w and 460w have a slightly larger fan which moves slower and is a little quieter as well as having braided cables but even the 350w is easily sufficient for what you need.
