I need a radiator bending so it has two angles.

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations outside of googling :D

I am in Nottingham but a few hours travel is not a problem.

Thanks

I doubt you'll be able to do it.

Bending it will compress the area of the bend making it inefficient, either see if you can buy one with a bend or as above, buy two smaller ones. Other option would be finding a metal fabricator and having one custom built but it'll cost.

What kind of bend are we talking about?

A 2 angled one like in the link above.

Currently, I am looking at a 6 hour round trip which although not the end of the world, trying to find something more "local" :D

I can take in any Rad I want and they will do it for £200 per angle which although sounds expensive, it does seem to be a niche and a dying art.

The last place we got one from local no longer does it but it looked rather good.

Personally, I think it looks tidier in the bay than on a wall we can use for other stuff.

The only thing we use the bay for is the Christmas tree :D

Have you considered "boxing in your bays" (not sure of the official term). Not the best photo's but essentially we have boxed off our bays with wood and got a custom made cushion on the top. Lovely to lay on in the summer and the dogs love them (as you can see).

We have a cut-out lid so the void can be used for storage, and it would also solve your radiator problem as you can use a conventional one across the front as we have done.

Gayjin, thanks for the reply and pics.

The dog does indeed seem to like their perch :D

That does look rather nice. The cushion is a great idea. In an old Victorian bay window, would also offer some additional insulation too.

My first thought was "Storage". I would make the top a hinged or removeable lid so could stash stuff inside :D

Is definitely another viable option.

One of the reasons I want to put a rad in there is that if it goes in the bay, I would get a triple which although normally, in my opinion, too bulky for a "wall", can take up as much room as it needs in a bay.

If that makes sense?
