well schools out and now it is his

thing is it has some strange operating system on it lol linux i think

i want to put xp on it but dont have a clue how to do it

i really could do with a quick and simple way to do it please if anyone can help

easiest way to do it would be to connect a USB CD drive, and install XP from that.

you could also copy the contents of the XP CD/ISO, onto a USB stick, and install it from that too.

I think you'll need to format the USB stick to FAT32 to be able to boot from it. Im not certin, someone else might be able to confirm that, but just copy the contents of the XP CD onto the USB stick, and then tell the netbook to boot from USB in the BIOS.

Look up installing XP from USB using BartPE, there's a few good guides kicking about. Basically, one pen drive with BartPE on it, one with XP installation files. Boot from the BartPE drive, setup your disk(s), copy the install files to a local disk and kick off the install from there.

Much easier to use an external optical drive, but you may not have one...
