Hi all. What would you recommend for an ageing Q6600 that's never been above 2.7GHz (cheap mobo limitations). I'd like to give it a last run before I put it out to pasture (prolly in another 22 years, as I'm a tight so and so). Not interested in water or anything - just want to get a decent OC with air. Have a good PSU, so that shouldn't hold me back.

Your thoughts would be welcome!

Wow - thanks for the rapid reply. In answer, well I'm a little behind the curve here, so I wouldn't want to spend anything over 100 really. I'm also using DDR2, which I'd like to hang on to for now (unless anyone gives me a good, performance-related reason to change that). So I suppose that limits me to socket 775? I'd also like it to be Xfire compatible if poss.

(I really didn't include enough information in my initial post!)

Either the aforementioned P5Q Pro or the P5Q Deluxe will give nice high FSB whilst retaining DDR2 support. Both are capable of Crossfire at 8x bandwidth (P45 limitations.)
