Looking to replace my Homehub 5 and it keeps losing wireless connection when dl.

Can someone please recommend what type of router i need please?

I want VDSL built into the router

You need to check whether BT have changed their policy on requiring the white OpenReach modem to be connected and doing the VDSL part of the connection. Admittedly you do then need to check whether you care... but that's up to you.

In theory, anything capable of supporting VDSL2 should work unless BT have nobbled the connection in some way similar to the way Sky have. OCUK stock at least three routers depending on your budget:

TP-Link N600
Asus DSL-N66U
and the
Asus DSL-AC68U - which does 802.11AC wireless where the other two do 802.11N

I cannot vouch for any of them as I've not used them - especially not on VDSL - but someone else here might.
