Need a replacement gpu

It looks Like my long suffering gigabyte Vega 64 is on its last legs, so I'm looking for a replacement.

I have a budget of £300-£500. Though I would like to stay under £400, unless the extra cash really makes a big performance difference.

I'm at work at the moment so don't know the monitor model number. But it's a 1080 144mhz model.
I have no immediate plans to go above that resolution.

PC is a Athlon 7 5800X on a MSI B550 motherboard.
16gb of RAM and an 850w PSU.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks, a friend did suggest a 6700XT.
A 7700XT does sound nice though, go big while I've got the cash. Maybe...

While waiting for a sale is probably wise, I kind of need something now.

Any recommendations on brands for a 6700XT?
I've heard Sapphires good, but can't seem to get the Nitro+ version anywhere.
Is the "Pulse" version still a good buy?
