Need a replacment PC but been away too long

Hi all
I currently have a PC which is getting old and ned to get a replacement better than what i already have. I have a £300 budget (ish) but not too sure whether to get a ready built one or do it myself.

Heres what i have currently:

Case X-Qpack II Micro ATX Gaming Case With 500W ATX2.0 PSU
Memory - CZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Reaper HPC Enhanced
HDD - Samsung SpinPoint T 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.33GHz (1333FSB)
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H GeForce 7100 Micro-ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

I think that is everything, i have monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.

Is it possible to build something better for £300 ish or get a ready made jobby for a similar amount, if so, which one

I have been out of this for so long, things change very quickly eh

depending on what you use it for /want it for i'd consider just replacing mobo/processor and memory:

To be honest its just for the usual office stuff, few vids and playing my guitar via line6 guitarport (runs on almost anything).

No problem really, just that I have a spare in the studio which i want to swap with this one hence the need to get another one. This one is cool, only thing wrong is the front USB are broken, i guess a new case would sort that but need to replace the one in the studio which is pretty much beyond it (8 years old)
