Need a router for VM

We are getting VM this time next week and I just realised the modem isnt wireless. Although I dont need it the g/f does (dont think she will be to pleased if she cant use net )

Need some recommendations for this as I am lost when it comes to routers/modems

I am tempted by the linksys one as it has "tomato" firmware which seems to get praised very highly.
