Need a second travel laptop/netbook

Think I may have found a deal

Hunting round the web today dialled in via VPN software on my work laptop, it does some weird things with Google which pulls up different web results as it gets confused where I am actually located.

I found a company called Technoworld who have the HP DV2 for £403 delivered...

HP Pavilion DV2-1125EA Entertainment Notebook PC Athlon X2 Neo Dual Core (L335) 1.6GHz 2048MB (1x2048MB) 320GB 12.1 inch TFT DVD SuperMulti LAN WLAN BT Vista Home Premium

This is a bargain.... as most charge >£496

It is also eligible for a windows 7 upgrade :-)

Anybody know technoworld?, they look legit....

The perfect netbook at his time is the Asus 1005PE-P with new Atom 450 chip - around 11 hours certainly rather less in real conditions - but excellent. 10" perfect size. Playing games that is going to be a problem. Check out the reviews. It wont be in UK till around beginning of February 2010 (Already available in Germany with German keyboard:

I am pretty sure this only has an Intel graphics solution...

I am really looking for something with more oomph :-)

But thanks anyway...

Hey folks,

Been a while, have been exploring. I really want to avoid going up to a 13" or bigger if I can avoid it, so...

I have found a decent price on the DV2 HP.

I comes with a neo L335 X2 cpu, 4 gig of ram and 320gig HD, graphics are ATI 4330 and it comes with an external DVD drive.

Given the price isn't that much higher than the ASUS 1201n (400 v 530 and of course I would need to buy an external DVD to go with the Asus) it appears to be a great deal.

I will also qualify for a free windows 7 upgrade if I buy before Jan 31 :)

It does appear to be a good combination of power v price v size

Any comments or thoughts before I push the button ?

Cheers
