Spain - Finally....
Ok, firstly - i am not getting into the argument of whether they are needed or not.. I am financially in a position to have a spare set of alloys with winter wheels so i am going for them this year.. Reason being, i do some really silly shifts with start/finish times at 3am so if weather does turn crappy to the extent that winter tyres are a blessing i know i can then hopefully get to work ok!

So.. i am looking for s set of 225/54/17's.. conti wintersport seems to have good reviews as do the Vredestein Wintrac xtreme..

Any recommendations/personal experience??

Cheers.. :)

Save a few quid and try gt champiro winters

Not the greatest but a fantastic tyre for the money

I ran some Conti TS830's on a Golf GT TDi and can vouch for just how good they are.

Failing that, some Rainsport 3's certainly wouldn't be a bad call and will do nicely all year round too.
