Need a socket A MB with PCI-X

They do exist but they are usually dual cpu server boards and either rare or silly prices unless you buy second hand.

If you are running SCSI then it should be backwards compatible with 32/64 bit PCI. I have a PCI-X SCSI card running in a 64 bit slot with no problems. It's not as fast but cheaper than replacing the motherboard.

If you want PCI-X and are hoping to upgrade to another CPU in the future then it may be worth looking at the Asus P5WDG2-WS Professional Intel 975X for dual core duo as it has PCI-X slots.

I'm seeing some from Supermicro. However, they cost as much as a whole new system would cost you. :(

It's probably time to upgrade the CPU if only to make the motherboard cheaper.

What's a good overclocking LGA775 board with PCI-X? Are there any?

It seems theres a premium for PCI-X motherboards. They all seem to be around the £180+ mark for a single CPU board.

If I had the money I would go for the Asus P5WDG2-WS Professional Intel 975X and a conroe CPU.

I forgot to mention, it was for a SATA raid card that i've got. I'll use the backward compatibility mode for now, as I've blown all my £££'s on hard drives. :)

It might not be as fast, but I can live without the speed until either the prices come down or I get some more £££'s. :)
