need a windows laptop

I've been all Mac for a good few years now, but I need a windows laptop for a few things.
It won't get used much in reality, that said I don't want any too slow otherwise I'll throw it out of the window (no pun intended!!)

15 inch screen, SSD and a 4 or 8 GB of RAM - budget is as low as I can get away with providing the spec is met - any recommendations either or what to go for or what to avoid?

I would steer clear of anything lower than 8GB, I have a SP4 with 4GB ram and it takes some maintenance to run it smooth at 4GB of ram, it's never fully smooth.

SSD is a must. no SSD - dont purchase the system

So 8gb as a minimum and an ssd 256 is more than adequate. 15 inch screen too.

I've got 2 x 4 bay QNAP's so I'm not shy of hard drive space.

Any recommendations based around that?
