need a wireless cable router for VM

hi all i currently have a belkin g plus mimo wireless router but my connection and downloads are freezing its been like this ever since ive had it can someone recommened a working stable wireless cable router that works on virgin media cable please other than belkins

do all the cable routers that ocuk sell support upto 20mb? i was looking at the linkseys http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-052-LS

Mines had a uptime of 120 days since I installed it! Not any problems there!

Same router... different firmware. I use dd-wrt on mine. Uptime would have been great if the wifey hadn't unplugged the wrong lead the other week.

Unless you're really strapped for cash. In which case, an (incredibly) old PC with smoothwall and two network cards works very well.

I'm on WRT54G 1.1 and running 20mb without any problems - DD-WRT didnt seem to get the full 20mb with my 1.1.

Indeed the Linksys WRT54GL is a great choice, using it myself with the Tomato firmware.

What advantages does tomato offer over dd-wrt? Should I be considering changing..?

same or nothing really - Not a lot between them other than couple of features
