Need acvice on a new system

hey guys!
I am looking to get a new system.
I am not the richest sod out there and would be looking for a decent system that would allow a good amount of upgrading work to be done eventually when I can afford the latest gear.
I only need a 80GB HD since av got an external 500GB one and only need a base unit.

If anyone could use over clockers and drum me up a good system I would be grateful :D

I will eventually use it for everything. Multimedia, gaming, and maybe some encoding but
to start off with not much gaming as I dont want all the latest components as I plan on eventually upgrading for the games.
What I want is decent components.
However the only things I want to be great are the mobo and CPU
