Hi all and thanks for taking the time to help me out, it's much apprciated.

I'm in the process of upgrading my whole computer but after talking to someone the other day I think i may have made an error so this post will help me clarify this problem.

My new setup.
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4, Intel P67 Express, S 1155, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 2133, SATA 6gb/s, SATA RAID

Cooling - AKASA AK-CCX-4002HP Venom Ultra Performance CPU Cooler Serious O'clocking LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM3

Processor - Intel Core i5 2500K Unlocked, Socket 1155, Sandy Bridge, Quad Core, 3.3GHz, 6MB Cache, 95W, Retail - Overclocked to 4.7ghz

Power supply - Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850HXUK)

Memory - 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.65V.

Graphics Card - HIS ATI Radeon HD 6970 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Case - Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus Case - Black

HDD / optical - standard seagate hdd 1tb and 1x standard cd/dvd drive.

My questions mainly revolve around the psu / graphics and cooling.

1) - The power supply i bought i thought was a very good one but i was told that with this rig if i want to go crossfire 6970's i would need a more powerful power supply - what are your thoughts?

2) The haf case i bought doesn't come with a huge fan (cant remember dimensions) on the top of the case but i can salavge that from this pc, my question is will that big fan, the big fan on the front and the fan at the back be sufficent cooling because i read that the 6970 can get rather hot and if i crossfire them how many more fans do i need?. Again, please share your thoughts on that.

Think that is pretty much it, thanks again for taking the time to read and reply to this,

Kind regards,
Kyle.

1) 850 Watts from Corsair should be enough. Corsair is an excellent psu manufacturer.

2) It sounds like you have a big case and around 3 to 4 extrenal fans? That enough I would say.

I was recommended a good 750w for my new build which will be an overclocked i5 2500k, 3 hdd's, crossfire 6970's, 6 fans, sound card and all the usual stuff.

I went with the Corsair AX750 Gold.

Will find out tomorrow when it all turns up but that should be enough as long as it's a good brand. /crossesfingers

Id go with 850 to be safe. From my personal experience i would say got for the best PSU you can afford to futureproof yourself. I would get a kw if you plan to keep PSU for a long time and upgrade a lot. Will save you money in the long run aswell
