ok, had a letter form a nephew saying i have been left some money £90k and i have to spend it on something crazy but i can't have it for 6 months due to tax reasons. However i thought that the lawyer dealing with the case was meant to contact me directly not the nephew.
Now he refuses you give me the lawyers name address, the whole thing is starting to sound a bit strange , she had property valued at 6 million, cash and jewelry <----- she has always said she'll leave this too me.

Now i think i might be getting played just need some advice.

go and spend 90k and wait for the money to come through ;) alternatively, you could let an african princess borrow the money for a while use your account and reap the rewards of multiplied return >.<

how do i get the name of teh lawyer or a copy of the will.

You can try asking your other relatives but the executor (might also be the solicitor) has to make reasonable efforts to trace possible beneficiaries if memory serves and it doesn't sound as if it should be that difficult to track you down given you are still in contact with at least some of the family. Therefore I'd be tempted to just ignore the nephew and wait to see what comes of it - however this is not meant to constitute legal advice in any form, if you are unsure then please consult a lawyer or the C.A.B. at a minimum.

that's what I was getting at, if they're telling you to go and spend the money without you even seeing any of it, they could either be lining you up to screw yourself over, or they're not telling you how much you've really been left in a greedy move

Donate it to a non capitalist charity.

Alternatively, contact a solicitor. 90k should buy you a couple of hours of their time.
