need advice about overclocking

Q8400/Q9400 anygood for overclocking guys, or should i purchase a secondhand Q6600 with go stepping, so its 2y old cpu versus new cpu, but not sure as i said if the Q8400/Q9400 overclocks well?? urgent advice is needed as i have only 4 hours left to buy from ebay if i choose the 6600 route lol
