Need advice for a living room Vive build

Hello there.

I'm looking to get a nice little discrete PC that is Vive ready for my living room. It's been a while since I've built a rig, and whilst I'm quite sure I can do it, I thought I'd ask for some advice first.

I'll be using my Bravia TV as the monitor so I don't need any extra displays.

Other than that the only requirements I have would be that it has to give decent VR performance, and come in a small (or as small as possible) case.

I've taken a look at some of the pre-configured options on the OC store but I think I'd rather build it myself and save a bit of money. However I'm not up to speed on components as I've not built a rig for a while.

If some kind soul could throw together a sample build that I could toy about with that would be awesome. From what I'm reading, a GTX 1070 based build seems promising.

Budget is around £1000 with some wiggle room.

Thanks!

1070 will be enough, I have a 970 and while it struggles with AA or SS in Elite it handles most VR games with ease. The 1070 is a healthy bump in performance over that.
