Need Advice for Mini Itx gaming build.

Hi,

So im looking to get a gaming pc and my friend has kindly offered to give me his 7970 ghz edition and ive got a Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini ITX Tower Case
mainly because i travel back and forth from university a lot so thats why ive chosen to go with itx.

I dont know too much about the difference from ATX etc so opinions would be helpful
but if you could help me out that would be great.

Budget is around £500
 
 
Did you mean 3570k or 4670k?
Only 4570 is a non-k version.
Haswell is faster 'out of the box'.
I have a mini itx build myself with a 4770k, so far didn't need to overclock at all, everything runs great.
So there is no need for K version in your build, especialy if you have tight budget.
Or if you can squeeze extra 40£ and you plan to overclock, I'd get a 4670k and Z87 motherboard from MSI for another 30£ more.
 
The Haswell 4670k is a newer Cpu than the Ivybridge 3570k and is slightly faster clock for clock.
If you wanted either one, you would need to increase your budget about another £80+.
