Hello there.
I’m kind of new into the world of PC upgrading and wondered if I could get any advice.

I currently have an HP Omen 870-165na, which I have used for 4 or so years now. I would like to possibly upgrade it, without changing the case itself (want to likely get all pre-built parts replaced). My aim is to hopefully be able to play triple a games with no hitches at all, like Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.

Any advice or suggestions on how I can do this would be greatly appreciated.

Heres the specs for the desktop:

Hi,

In my opinion, I would do a complete rebuild.

PSU 300 watts, too low for a modern gaming PC for future upgrades.
RAM, needs to be 16 gigabytes at least or double what you have now.
CPU, though an OK CPU in 2016 is about 5 years out of date. In 2021, a 6 core and above CPU is best.
GPU 1060 an OK graphics card which I would not replace right now, reason, no graphics cards in affordable budget range. For example in 2021, the 1050Ti, the lower version of a 1000 series NVIDIA card costs £199.99!

The cheapest and easiest thing to upgrade on your PC is RAM. You can either replace with new DDR4 at say 3200 Mhz and downclock it or try and find an extra 8 gig of matching RAM. Your power supply also needs replacement with a decent brand.

However, companies like Dell, HP have a funny tendency to use none conforming parts in their builds, so check the PSU will fit your old case.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £155.44 (includes shipping: £10.50)
