Hey Guys,
I just recently upgraded from a
Q6600
8Gig DDR2 1066Mhz
Asus P5Q Pro
to a
i7 2600K
8Gig DDR3 1866Mhz or something
ASROCK Z68 Fatality
Rather than selling the components for pretty much less than they are worth I have decided to give them to my cousin as pretty much a christmas present and see them go to good use. He previously spent over 1K on i7 crossfire system and was then burgled !!! They took only his PC setup last new year. Wasn't the best new year for him unfortunately.
Anyway I have eyefinity setup in my flat and my dad rather likes it. We have managed to obtain extra monitors to go with his setup.
I sold him my old ATI 4970 or 4790 ( can't remember name, was high range tho ) and that is what he is using now but will not support eyefinity. I was thinking what we should do is buy a new eyefinity card for my father and swap the ATI 4970 for my cousin as it is not a bad card and should handle most games, perhaps not at highest settings but for decent performance. He only needs to use one display anyway.
Any ideas on what would be a decent replacement for the ATI 4790 for power and possibly what it's worth ?
If this post is at all not allowed in the graphics card forum as I i'm asking for pricing in a way please move to memebers market if required.
Thank you all for any suggestions,
Kev
