which asus xonar sound card for gaming headphones and 5.1 speakers

hey guys

So i got some turtle beach px21's for my ps3 and gaming pc.

They are awsome, and im now thinking of going dolby surround, has anyony used the turtle beach dss sound processor?

Also what speakers are better out of the logitech z506 x530 or creative a520? And what sound card to go with them? I like deep rumbling bass of explosions, and tanks etc, will a sound card do the same job as the turtle beach dss for my Headset?

Cheers guys

ive owned the x-530's,they are great speakers, idk how the z506's hold up

also owned a xonar dx sound card which was great for sound, the onboard is pretty good also if you dont use the realtek drivers and use what microsoft installs

Will a sound card improve my headsets sound quality like a speaker system? Also will it do the same as the turtle beach dss?

ive never used turtle beach, but the xonar dx has dolby headphone support,it sounded fine with my headphones, powerfull bass ect

So am i better off getting a sound card or getting both? I dont want to get the dss if the sound card will do the same job

Will the sound card transfer my stereo headset into 5.1 surround the same way as the dss?

What about the asus DGX 5.1 sound card?

Any good with headphones and whats it like for 5.1 speaker systems? Im interested in the microlabs fc730 5.1 speakers

I don't know, does it say it supports dolby surround headphone? I've only used the dx so can only comment on that

Ok, hows the DX?

Will it improve my px21's and a 5.1 speaker system?

How dose it compare to the asus sound cards?

It is an asus, asus xonar dx

The onboard/motherboard sound is pretty good though,it will improve your sound, the cheaper dgx might be enough I don't know, you need to research the different features they have
