Need advice on a cooler

I am hoping to build a new system based around the 2500k and P67A-UD4. I don't want a crazy overclock on it. I would be overly happy with 4 Ghz.

I am unsure of what voltage increase I would need but anyway, my problem is choosing a cooler that will leave my 2500k with a long life and not harm it with high temps.

I want a cooler that is reasonably easy to install (never again do I want to install a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme) and will provide the aforementioned life span. My initial research has sprung up the Corsair A70 and the CoolerMaster Hyper 212+. Are these good choices for what I require?

i biased towards a megahalems from my own experience
you can add you own fans
excellent temps, only beaten by a handfull of coolers i.e the NH-D14
Really easy spring loaded mounting (one of the best mouthing solutions)
you dont have to worry about lapping it (prolimatech is against this)
cheap for its performance in comparison to others.

with a megahelms i imagine you would be hitting something like 50c max with a 2500k depending on you case

Have you considered one of the complete watercooling solutions. Really easy to install and give very stable temperatures. I'm currently running an H70 and I'm really impressed, even if the stock fans are a bit rubbish.

I run a H50 and I must say i am rather underwhelmed by it. I reckon a megahelms or a noctua would have been far superior.

A lot of people post ludicrous claims of running a 19 Idle and 50ish full load at 4.6, which I don't believe unless I see screen shots in realtemp / CPU z / core temp.

having seen the H50 perform and knowing what I know now if I went back a few weeks I would have got the noctua or the megahelms. The only plus side to the corsair H series is not having a 1 tonne block straped to your motherboard and giving a bit more space around the socket / ram slots, cooling wise though its not whats its cracked out to be as I have seen much better performance on high end air coolers that come in at the same price of cheaper than the hydro series from corsair

Antec Kuhler - it's what the H50 should have been, including fixing the leaks, noisy pumps, and the high temps :p

A50 would be more than adquate for 5GHz, let alone 4GHz :D

Gelid Tranquillo will be near silent and do the same job - just so happens to be out of stock atm
