I want to build a decent M-ATX PC and would like to know what platform would be best to build it on, AMD or INTEL and what components. Need to know ASAP as i'm looking to order the components this week.
 
Generally speaking Intel is faster right now with its Core 2 Duo. However, if you were looking at the lower end AMD's Sempron is a better performer than Intel's Celeron. How much are you looking to spend, sir?
 
I'm looking at going for a M-ATX setup. Looking at a decent PC to play games etc. Anything you can suggest specification wise on a M-ATX. Looking at CPU, Motherboard and Memory to start.
 
Are you willing to overclock? Are you willing to use a third party cooler? What kind of ventilation will you have in your case? What kind of games would you like to play at which resolutions? Do you think this thread would do better in general hardware?
 
Intel is the best performing right now, AMD seem to be coming out with good performance / £ ratios.

If I was building now, I'd go Intel, even though I'm an AMD fanboy, and they need our money...
