Need advice on creating a network using Sky Broadband wireless router

Does anyone know how I can setup a network using a Sky Broadband wireless router (the one that I have is the most recent Wireless N version) that would allow me to connect my Windows 7 laptop and my Windows 8 HTPC together so I can copy folders as well as files to and from each device.

Assuming both devices are connected to the router (if not follow the instructions Sky presumably provided) then they're already networked together.

You just need to configure Windows to allow the sharing. If you Google 'homegroups' you should find plenty of guides that'll get things going.
