Have you tried using two separate pci-e cables instead of daisy chaining them? As shown in your picture for the graphics card.
I've got same problems with my 5700xt aorus card bought it Friday that's going back to ocuk aswell like yourself I've done many a pc and havent had half the problem as this card thinking of getting the sapphire 5700xt nitro instead or a 2070 so if we've both got same problem maybe it's gigabyte cards maybe a faulty batchI think its a driver issue as I rolled it back and its fixed the graphic issue in windows but now im getting audio issues when in game and not in windows. it either doesn't play unless you change a setting or keeps cutting out for a couple of seconds, seems different depending on the game.
I've been trying to sort this since Friday evening and now I'm done with this ******* card.. i've built loads of PCs and i have never had this much problem setting one up.. I knew I should have stuck with Nvidia who I've always used until this one, so i'm sending this back to OC and getting a 2060 SUPER instead and i bet I don't get 1 issue with it.
It's too big for the damn case and the drivers for it are dog ****. I aint touching AMD cards again after this.

I know the feeling I felt like chucking it through the window lol it really wound me up trying different things even did a fresh install with just bare minimum on no av software down loaded just cause 3 simple enough game to play for a card of this calibre and it crashed the pc with in 2 mins of playing put the 270x back in and i didnt even change the drivers when i put that back in and thats been fine touch wood will not buy a gigabyte card again thats for sure I'm taking mine back to ocuk tomorrowits crazy how bad it is.. i spent HOURS trying to solve one issue only for another to appear!! waste of time, waste of a weekend, thing isnt even mine. And I dont even think its just a hardware issue i think its software too, their drivers are years behind Nivdia's.
I can't waste any more time on it, OCUK can take it back, im done.
Thanks the fact we both have same issue makes me think it's definitely something to do with the card nothing else I'm going to go for one of the sapphire nitro 5700xt had sapphire cards before and always been decent cards wont buy a gigabyte card againIt is intriguing that the Aorus brand has the exact same issues from both of you. Yeah I would suggest that you send it back. I've not heard much about them other then they were the last brand to launch as that was the brand I originally was waiting for. But I went with the Nitro instead.
In any case good luck with your build.

Cheers mate i feel your frustration still thinking if i should go nvidia as like you say i built my son same spec as mine but with a 2070 in and it went as smooth as silk like plug and play but I'd read the amd driver thread and took it they had sorted it out I reckon it's the actual card I read somewhere that someone had lowered the clocks on their 5700xt aorus card to stop it happening to them but i cant be bothered doing that as thats not the spec i brought so its going back tomorrow morning what card you looking at gettingThing is in my rig I have the Nvidia Aorus Xtreme 2080ti which I have had since end of 2018 and its been fine, though it did need thermal paste re-applied last year by Gigabyte lol.
I too installed just a few games to test and each one had issues playing.. How can i hand this to my work colleague tomorrow who has bought this for their young teenage son as a present.. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night handing that over to them to deal with.. they trusted me with their large amount of money so i will follow through.
But the most annoying thing is its about to be Sunday evening and I haven't done anything but try and fix this bloody lol, its that missing time that ****** me off the most.
I wish you the best of luck mate, hope it works out for you

Yes the 5700 xt is a fantastic card when it works there's a 2070 msi for roughly the same price aswellSo for the budget for the same card it will have to be an Nvidia 2060 Super so one of those, there are a few on offer at the moment which are roughly same price so hopefully arrange a simple exchange. If I could be guaranteed that getting another 5700 XT would not have the same issues as this one I would get another but I can't go through this again and as I'm leaning more on a driver issue then a hardware one its too big of a risk. which is a shame really as performance wise the 5700 XT seems to have a little more grunt for the same price.
performance wise is the 2070 non-super better than a 2060 Super?
edit: ahh also that msi card comes in at over 30cm long so is longer than the 5700XT so wouldn't fit unfortunately
Hi mate,
Thank you for the info,
Yes the Gigabyte 2070 Windforce was the one I was looking at.. I don't have a problem with gigabyte myself as I already use an Nvidia base 2080ti Aorus card and its fine.. my problem is with AMD based cards in general at the moment
I think the 2070 is the answer. I tried to push my colleague to go 2070 Super but the price jumps too much for them unfortunately
Cheers mate.
