Howdy all,
I just finished building my first PC and am looking to spend around £200 on a graphics card for Xmas, but wasn't sure about bottlenecks etc and need some advice on a card best for my pc and money. It's a new system, so I do not plan to upgrade anything yet, as all of the hardware is a few weeks old.

System Specs -
CPU - AMD Phenom II 850 ( not amazing, but will upgrade eventually )
Mobo - Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G
PSU - Antec TruePower New Modular 550W
RAM - Gskill Ripjaws 1600mhz 8gb
Case - CM Elite 430

Would it not bottleneck?

Yes. But it won't matter. I explained this elsewhere. Bottlenecking imposes a cap on maximum FPS. Not on minimum or average.

Here. Watch this.

Perfectly playable at that resolution, rips along at the 60 FPS Vsync cap.

That's my quad SLI 295 co op system powered by a Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 3.4ghz. :D

So I maintain, it's min and avg FPS that matter. Not that you might get 180 instead of 250. Because it's what happens down the other end that counts.

Ah right. Thanks for the advice. I will probably go with the GFX card WU suggested :)
@ ALXAndy Nice setup btw and thanks for the fact on " bottlenecking "
