Hi guys, i need advice please on which Motherbord to get to replace my S/Pdif fried MSI 7366 Mobo, been having a nightmare recently with trying to get sound out of the S/pdif, messed with a cable i made a year or so ago, plugged it back in wrong way round and smoke resulted, the mobo still works but tbh i want shot of the thing but i do want to re-use my CPU and Mem which are all fine and Dandy for what i need it for .... HTPC work
the current Mobo is a MSI 7366 relevant specs are LINK
Supports single channel DDR2 533/667
• Two 240-pin/1.8V DDR2 DIMMs.
• Supports a maximum memory size up to 4GB
• Supports Socket 775 for Intel® Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, P4, P4EE, Pentium D, Pentium XE processors.
• Supports FSB 1333/1066/800/533MHz.
• Supports EIST technology.
• Supports Intel® Hyper-Threading technology.
and i use Sata drives which is the norm these days
the replacement board must be able to reuse my mem and CPU and have spdif out with accompanying S/pdif cable
i also use 2 PCI cards, a Compro S350 sat card and a Medion TV Tuner card
breaking it down i need a mobo that has
- DDR2 support
- Socket 775 for Intel® Core 2 Quad support
- PCI x 2 at least
- PCIe
- ATX 24-Pin power connector
- ATX 4-pin 12V power connector
- CPU x 1 / System FAN x 1 connector
- CD-in connector
- Front panel audio connector
- Front panel connector
- 1 x SPDIF out connector
- 3/2 x USB 2.0 connectors (3 for 73U/PV, 2 for 73V)
- 4 x serial ATA connectors
advice appreciated please, i dont mess with hardware these days until it goes wrong so i have no idea if i can replace my existing mobo and keep the remaining parts but hopefully i can
