Need advice on my next GPU

That is what i was doing, letting the op know as much as possible as its a lot of money.

The best bet is to get a 7950 see if you like it if not get a 670 you'll only need swap once.

Tbh my 7970 has no problems running games at max its just glitches in the games that annoys me and having to use radeon pro to play half my games.

Farcry 3 is a dev bug i get 60 fps but its not smooth at all at medium settings its really smooth though. Online my ping is all over the shop the game is really unstable imo. You need keep looming for a decent same some lag some don't. I think its p2p there's no servers this is why it does this. Shame really.

No mater how much people like to bang on about AMD problems and insist they don't exists with Nvidia, thats fanboy talk.

Is that in about me?

I own a 7970 but Im a fan boy? Makes sense lol?

The only thing Im a fan of is a decent card!

The 580 and 285 I've played on over the years have both been good cards.

7850 was a fail card and i tried 3x. 660 much better and i oced the 7850 as much as i could.

7970 good card perfect almost if these problems were sorted! I don't expect to get problems for near 400 quid! If people are happy to sit with problems when paying 400 quid they are fools tbh!

Cut the crap with arguing, I didn't want a thread turning out like all the others where both brands are mentioned. I know both have their faults, anyone know the average price for a used 680? Just don't want to be overpaying as the guy accepted my offer straight away.

Gigabyte = UK RMA, considering GTX 680's with a good cooler is £400+ its not bad.

Things to consider when buying used.

How old?

Have receipt?

Why sale?

Card is 6 months old. Receipt apparently isn't needed with gigabyte's RMA process. Selling as he is downgrading and needs cash for a summer project.

If your spending that kind of money on an electrical item i would have thought they would keep the receipt, along with the original box, does he have the box?
Did he say why no receipt?

I would also check with Gigabyte to make sure that, A; the warranty is transferable, and, B: you really don't need the receipt.

I wouldn't do it. For that much money, I would only buy from a reputable business or store with a receipt.

It is a bargain but carries too much risk imo.

On a side note, new Nvidia drivers are out.

The card comes with the invoice so warranty should be fine. The guy who had it is a moderator on the forum so I think he's trustworthy with 153 reviews at 100% feedback.
