Hope someone can help,
I have recently added an Nvidia Geforce 8800GT 512mb to my setup to act as a dedicated PhysX card and the system shuts down when under heavy load.
I get red lights on my main GPU after playing games for a couple of minutes so I can only assume my PSU is not supplying enough power.
Here is my setup:
Asus P5KC motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66Ghz (Overclocked to 3.2Ghz)
4GB (2 x 2GB sticks) Kingston HyperX DDR2
ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB (Slightly Factory Overclocked)
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT 512mb (for Hybrid PhysX setup)
1TB Sata HDD (3.5")
400GB Sata HDD (3.5")
120GB Sata HDD (2.5")
PCI Sound Blaster card
1 DVDRW drive
4 low speed 120mm case fans
2 92mm case fans
What would be a suitable power supply for this?
I currently have a Corsair HX520w.
I was looking at a Corsair HX620w, would this be enough or do I need to go higher?
Thanks in advance
