Need Advice on New Router Please

Hi all im after a new router for adsl/vdsl as im currently using a hh3 with the white vdsl (fiber box). The reason I need something better is I have 3 boys all wanting to be online gaming at the same time as me and sometimes they struggle to keep connection upstairs with their wifi as in (2 pcs and a ps4 upstairs and me downstairs on my pc).

Would love some suggestions please.
 
  1. Run some Ethernet cables. Cheap and guaranteed to work.
  2. Powerline adapters. Often better than wireless but YMMV.
  3. Install one or more wireless access points.
  4. Replace the router.
If you're replacing the router:
  1. Do you want a single box solution (without the VDSL modem)?
  2. Do you know what flavour of wireless you'd like?
  3. Is there a budget?
 
Yes single box m8 i use ethernet downstairs but they have to use wireless upstairs was thinking about £100 - £150 max
 
TP Link Archer vr900 seems to get a lot of love on here.

TP Link Archer VR900 has my vote if you want an all-in-one VDSL modem/router.

Had it for 6 months now, works a dream.
