I've never had to change the cooler on one before but today the fan started making an horrendous buzzing noise. I'm looking to replace it with something passive. However I dont know for sure what is compatible with my motherboard. Does anyone know if the Zalman ZM-NB47J Northbridge Cooler (SY-007-ZA) works ok with this motherboard http://msicomputer.co.uk/Products.aspx?product_id=703542&cat_id=77 ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, as I mentioned I've never fit one before, are they easy to fit? Will I have to remove the motherboard from the case or is it possible without taking everything out?

You will have to take the mobo out & just pinch the two plastic pins to get the old one off

The zalmans are good coolers btw ;)

Sometimes you can twist and pull them hard and they will pop out, but usually you'll need to take the mobo out as Rob says.
