Hey guys, could someone let me know whether a corsair ax850w psu would be enough to power two way sli gtx 660ti and a i7 3770k over clocked to 4.40ghz?

Have a looksee at one of the online PSU calculators (Google ‘PSU calculator’).

I entered the rough details and they didn’t even suggest needing to go over 500 Watts. So the short answer has to be yes.

Aren’t the 660 Ti cards a bit of a waste of space with the narrower memory interface?

You'll have to forgive me but im not 100% what you mean. If these 660ti cards arnt the best option then i'd be love to know. Ive purely made my judgement off of fps charts, these cards seem to scale very nicely and on average they appeared to achieve over 20% of the gtx 680 performance fps wise. Value wise i managed to get these cards brand new just below £200. Although it might be too late for me now id still rather know if ive made a fool out of myself for going ahead and buying these cards.

Cloud you point me in the direction of a better choice of GPU(s)?

Please don't take too much notice of a late night throw away comment from someone that doesn’t really play games anymore. It was deliberately phrased as a question rather than a statement.

Sorry man i just get jumpy when spending this amount of cash, ive never really spent this much before. I'm a fresher at uni and as you can clearly see im going abit mental with my student loan.

There good cards and in sli are even better.

Your psu will be more than fine running wht you have got.

Sit back and enjoy your new cards.

I just built an i7 3770k with 660ti, too :). It's a nice card at the price you got it for. Just make sure that it's a Ti and not a regular 660.

Haha don't worry man i have them here now definitely TI ...or so the sticker says. I got the xlr8 PNY cards, now the only thing im waiting for is my "Z77 Spec Ops" Overclock bundle that i got off of ocuk. It should be here in the next 45 minutes!
