Looking at buying a h70 but have read that the fans provided by Corsair are very loud on load so I'm looking to replace them.

Need advice on which 120mm fans would provide the best cooling(push and pull setup) yet not sound like a jet about to take off.

I have heard that the Noctua NF-p12 are good but they cost a lot.

Any ideas?

they are very quiet, silent really, i have 2 on my u12p cooler and no volume added with them overall

if i wasnt gonna be selling the whole cooler complete id offer you my fans

I've had the Noctua fans, they are very silent as they are designed for acoustic pc's and the microphones would pick up the background noise if they wasn't silent. The only thing is there horrible colours! I changed mine because it looked awful through side panel!

Hang on a minute. You are thinking about a H70 for £80 plus a pair of fans at £18 each!! £116 for a water cooler that struggles to beat high end air coolers!! This is madness. For a little more you could have a basic custom watercooling setup that would thrash the H70. Even better, you could get the Thermalright silver arrow which comes with a pair of quiet 140mm fans for £55 and have one of the best high end air coolers available.

+1, except I would go for the Noctua D14, but then that's me;)

+1

Silver arrow is an excellent option.

Also, if you really want to push the boat out then this monster Prolimatech is pretty insane and with a couple of fans will cost the same as a H70 but perform much cooler and quieter.
