Need advice on this build

I am speccing a computer for a friend. He has a budget of £700 but I'm pushing him a little to ~£950 to future proof his machine as much as possible. He wants to eventually overclock the machine when he has a bit more money for a decent CPU cooler but for now everything will run at stock speeds.

Here are a couple of concerns:

  • He is quite keen on the Haf X which I'm not sure about. It seems quite heavy at 14kg and it looks huge. I've suggested the Corsair range, 500R and the Vengeance C70 but he wants a case with decent airflow
  • The Kingston memory seems decent but once my friend has enough money for an aftermarket cooler, I don't think there will be enough clearance so need suggestions on alternative memory.
To me, the build seems quite overpriced and I still need to add a DVD-RW. I don't want to drastically overhaul things but suggestions would be very welcome. Here is what I have put together so far.
