Need advice on upgrades please

Hey there,

Thinking of upgrading my PC as I have fallen a little behind it seems. I have a Q9550 CPU running at 3.4mhz with 4gig of DDR2 800 and a 460 GTX running at 800/2000.

I have a 120mhz LG Monitor gaming at 1920x1080 and play FPS games so was thinking 580/590 as I want it to be good for the next year and a half.

Need to know if i'm going to have to upgrade the Motherboard and CPU too, was thinking of a i5 2600k bundle or an i7 bundle want to know what's considered best for gaming now?

You will need a Minimum 600 W psu to run a gtx 580

I reckon psu will be fine for a 580 as its a good one but not for a 590...

So, power aside my Q9550 would not limit my performance if I got a 590?
