need advice on upgrades

hello i built my pc in 2020 it has ran fine but now i am finding that it has problem playing some games (starfield and call of duty ) i checked my diagnostics on my pc (amd adrenalin ) it says i am useing 99% of my gpu i think i need an upgrade i was thinking of gettin a
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7800 XT GAMING OC 16GB Graphics Card is this a good upgrade and will it be a straight swap this is my set up now

do you think a gpu swap will fix my problem or do i need more thanks
 
You’ll see a good jump in performance upgrading the 5700XT to a 7800XT.

The 3700X might not have the legs to fully max out the 7800XT though.

Starfield is a bit awkward to give advice on because it hammers everything.

If you look here, you'll see that e.g. a 5800X3D gives a pretty big boost when compared to the 3700X (1080p/Ultra):

5800X3D: 67 avg, 55 lows
3700X: 50 avg, 43 lows


Then in the GPU benchmarks here:


(1080p/High)
5700 XT: 40 avg, 36 lows.
6800 XT: 70 avg, 63 lows.
