I have just ordered a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, and a EVGA nForce 680i SLI 775 motherboard, and now I am wondering - do I need to buy a heatsink or something for extra cooling?
(Sorry for newbie question, but this is the first rig that I have built myself!)

I don't plan to overclock much, but want to have everything I need in case I change my mind later on!

So if I do, could you guys recommend what I would need?

Thanks! :)

If you're not overclocking much and you've bought a retail 6600 and not an OEM chip (don't come with a cooler) then the stock cooler you'll get with your CPU will be fine to get you up and running. If you find its too noisey or you want to push your CPU further then you can look at aftermarket coolers :)

If you do decide on a new cooler, then the budget choice is the Arctic Cooler 7, if you want to pay a bit more then the Tuniq Tower is great.
