Hello,

As the title suggests I require some assistance regarding air flow. I currently have an Antec 300 case with the following set up:

Rear - 12cm fan intake(connector to Corsair H50 CPU cooler Radiator) ??? CFM
Top - 12cm exhaust Antec Tricool fan at medium setting 66.8 CFM
Front - 2 x 12cm Akasa Venom running at full rpm(have no fan controller) 83.6 each (166 total) CFM

How ever I wanted a bigger case so I ordered the HAF 912plus, which should arrive on tuesday 7th Feb. Was wondering if I should keep the defaults fans in that case or should I use my Venom fans. The default 912plus setup would be:

Rear - 12cm fan intake(connected to Corsair H50 CPU cooler Radiator) 44 CFM
Top - 20cm exhaust 110 CFM
Front - 20cm intake 110 CFM

I ask this, because I was thinking of either swapping out the front fan with my 2 venom fans, but was unsure if taking in more air in than can be pushed out is bad, or putting 1 venom intake at the rear and using the other on the side.

The whole air flow this is confusing me a little. I would appreciate all advice.

Thanks Shadow-King

If it was me then I would have a the biggest fan i could fit at the front of the case for
intake.

You cant do much about the back because of your H50 so leave that as it is.

Have as bigger fan as you can get on the top of the case so it you can fit 2-3 fans
on there then get some on there for taking hot air out the case.

Then i would run the system for a couple of days and see what kind of temps you are
getting from things. If the temps are still not to your liking then you can always add
in a side fan at a later date.

Thanks Shadz, I was considering also putting both Venom fans at the top, but was thinking wouldn't that create negative pressure as I'd be pulling more air out than I get in.

No m8 not really, I think you over analysing this a little to much to be honest
no ofference intended.

Even if you have say 1 big fan at the front of the case pulling loads of air
in and the fans at the top were pulling slightly more out then thats fine
because the parts inside the system E.G. Graphics Card, RAM etc...... cause
heat, so yeh you are taking more out but your taking out the hot air
that is coming off the components inside the case anyway and heat rises
so its going in the right direction just the fans are making it do it quicker.

Hope this helps you out m8

Just re-read the product description and cant determine if the case comes with a top 20cm fan or if its optional

The description is saying that the case comes with a 200mm fan in the top
or if you want you can have 2 x 120mm fans but thats optional.
