hi have a 2070 my spec off my pc is

5800x3d
DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16 16 gb
AG B550 TOMAHAWK
ROG PG278Q

i was looking at 4070 but herd it not to good off card and was kooking at 6800xt but not no if it be a good jump from 2070 or pay s bit more get 7900xt thankyou

The 4070 would be alright if it was priced where the 4060 Ti is. It's not a terrible card - just way too expensive (and the 4070 Ti even moreso). A 6800 XT is a decent jump from a 2070 (~85% faster), but obviously a 7900 XT is faster still (30% or so over the 6800 XT). Depends on what you play, what your performance expectations are and how good a deal you can get really. I'd look at some actual benchmark figures for the games you care about above anything else.

wow that mutch off a jump did not no lol i paly manly 1440p thinking maybe going in to 4k but not to shore take the jump yet play aaa games and thinking off not up grading for a good few years i have older comter were my 207y0 going in to so probley do the same with new card

The good thing with a 4070 is the power consumption, but it's not really ideal if you're thinking of 4K. Personally, I'd get the 7900 XT if you can afford it, since the extra grunt, newer architecture and 4GB of VRAM (vs 6800 XT) will likely prove itself over time.
