hi all, me and my younger brother are going on a watercooling adventure, now he is still in school and i refused to buy him new powerful pc parts so he wants to watercool the pc he already owns

please bear in mind that this will be just for fun and to see if there is a decrease in his temps and overclocking ability.

right, specs. -

intel i3 socket 1155
asrock b75 pro3-m
gtx 550ti
8gb teamgroup elite ram
dvd/rw non brander
1tb weston digital hard drive

now as this is just for fun and to introduce him into the watercooling world, we have agreed to watercool the processor, ram, and graphics card.

we will require a nice new case too.

now, i havent watercooled a system in a long time so this is where you come in, im worried we wont find a block to fit the graphics card, even the uni blocks might be to big. can anyone confirm.

the loop, ideally we want a loop with the processor and ram and a differnt loop for the card if possible, i was thinking, should i go for two differnt rads both double for pro and ram. and a single rad for gpu.

lastly componets, worth buying a kit and adding extras or totally custom whatever saves me money.

and finally i would like to say i know his specs arent top of the range but this is just abit of fun, im not spending aload of money i havent got for new parts.

so, what case, and watercooling parts you recomment for this project i willing to throw around 300 quid into it

You're prepared to spend £400-500 on watercooling old tech but not prepared to let him upgrade his ageing components? Using two loops and/or cooling the RAM is just plain silly. If you want a bit of fun, just make a simple CPU loop, then add the GPU to the loop when you upgrade from a 550Ti. One of these kits would be perfect for that.

ok so i will take your advice and upgrade him.

new cpu - intel haswell i7
new gpu - gtx780ti
new mobo havent decided just yet.

i suppose your right because i just got a new case today from overclockers corsair 540 cube, abit of shame having ageing tech in it.

so first to get parts plus any other upgrades then watercool
