Hi,
Been having a few BSOD's recently and last night i left the PC on whilst downloading, got up few hours later with the monitor showing black screen and a cmos reset. I don't really know much about overclocking as I bought the system from here ready overclocked. The thing is now what I need to know is with the cmos reseting I noticed that my overclock speed had decreased, so I read a few topics and saw that it was probably due to "c1e & e1st" being set on enabled or auto from the cmos reset.
So i went into the bios and disabled both of them and rebooted, great speed back to normal. Something else i've noticed from sreenshots of cpuid when i first got the system to now on the memory tab.
CpuID when new
CpuID now
I did check the bios under where the memory stuff is but didn't change anything as I wouldn't know where to start, but from them screen's the cycle time (tRAS) has gone up by 3 (from 15 to 18) and all settings under the memory section in bios is set to auto (not sure what they were set on when i got the system as I never went into the bios.
Also under my computer its showing that i have a floppy drive, which i haven't got. Is that there due to the bios reset? Just one more thing, I saw in the bios that there was an option to load a saved profile, would OcUk of created a set bios config of the overclock settings?
Im going to ring up on Monday when techies are in as there's no one in today.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
